Contributions of Maulvi Khuda Bakhsh Khan to the society as a whole have been immense. To pay homage to this great soul devoted to human cause and to commemorate his remarkable contribution to the public, an Annual Award was instituted in his name in 1992.

The Khuda Bakhsh Award carries Rs.1,00,000 and a citation. It is conferred upon the scholars for their life-time achievements in the fields specified by the Library.
So far Eight Awards have been conferred upon scholars for their
contribution in the respective fields. These are -
